My name is Tonya Lewis. I am a proud mother and grandmother, embracing my identity as a masculine-presenting Black lesbian. Born and raised in the vibrant heart of Texas, I embody the spirit of resilience and creativity as both an entrepreneur and someone who balances a day job.

The journey that led to the creation of Uneq Xpressions began with a profound life-altering loss that left me feeling as if my world had been shattered in an instant. In that moment, I found myself navigating the overwhelming waves of grief, which is a complex and intricate companion that shapes our lives in unexpected ways.

As I sought solace, I discovered my deep love for working with my hands. I turned to crafting as a way to channel my emotions and honor the love I felt for those I had lost. Each handmade item I create serves as a form of therapy, allowing me to express my love, joys, and sorrows. My creations—be they intricate wooden gifts, elegantly designed glass pieces, or uniquely scented candles—are imbued with love, light, and a sense of peace that reflects the journey I’ve traveled.
